Innovative, collaboration, engagement are a few ingredients that make an experience unique. From creating opportunities to learn and build empathy, to reflection with your youth and how those impacts decisions, and everything in between, the process for how you design is imperative in providing quality, equitable STEAM education for students whose genus has historically been untapped in STEAM fields.
During this training we will explore what, why, and how a human centered design approach to curriculum development puts us in the best possible position to create continued practices for equitable, affirming, and responsive STEAM programming. This training will not focus on any specific or pre-made activities for STEAM but how to curate and develop your own based on the needs and desires of your youth + communities.
