Our country is buzzing with protest and discussion about the value of Black lives and the necessary disruption of systems that perpetuate racism and inequity. Within our organizations, most of us have taken steps to build more diverse teams and promote a greater sense of inclusion and belonging in their workplace. However, there is still much work to do in shifting our own organizational structures, program design, and approach to advocacy to produce more equitable outcomes.

In this session, we will identify options and address the barriers facing leaders who aim to prioritize equity in their work. We will review a model for scanning your organization and environment for racial impacts and explore the key levers to embedding equity in your operations and programs. Leaders will leave this workshop with a clearer sense of what a racial equity journey might look like for their organization and how they can ready themselves, their teams, and their stakeholders for this work.
