Teaching Digital Citizenship Through SEL Skill Building

Last Date:

Location:
Webinar
Details:

If we want our students to be safe and savvy digital citizens, we have to do more than just give them information. Digital citizens do not just know, they act. Digital citizenship goes beyond knowledge into practical application. Social-emotional learning (SEL) can help develop the skills students need to be empowered digital citizens. It also addresses the person behind the screen and the “whys” of digital behavior.

This edWebinar, informed by thousands of direct hours teaching K-12 students digital citizenship, narrows down the most important SEL skills for digital citizenship. It also shares practical ideas and real-life examples to effectively teach those skills to multiple age groups. Participants will leave with activities and ideas they can use immediately in their classroom and learn more about a different approach to digital citizenship education.

This edWebinar will be of interest to K-12 teachers, librarians, and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
